Marriott Courtyard Key Largo
We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Key Largo for 2 nights while in the Key Largo. We chose the hotel based on the close proximity to Pennekamp State Park. Yes, there is a nicer Marriott Spa and Resort, but we liked the location and the price of this one better.
The check in process was flawless. We had a 2 queen bed room, with a roll away and had more than enough space. We also had a balcony which was extremely nice to dry our snorkel and dive gear on at night. The room was immaculate me the bathroom was large; both must haves when traveling with kiddos.
The lobby was crisp and inviting. There were endless amounts of information in the form of pamphlets, brochures, and posters on things to do in the area. Directions to the pool were clearly marked
The kids swam in the pool and had loads of fun. For the grown-ups, there was a band playing at a restaurant behind the hotel that night. It was easy to see and hear them, a nice perk to be able to sit and listen to free music while the kids swam.
My only complaint is about how you have to enter the hotel. The main entrance is raised on a big hill. Not convenient to lug suitcases up. We did find the elevator in the parking garage, though there was never any parking in the garage. Tiny inconvenience for a great stay.
The staff was helpful and accommodating. They were able to answer every question I threw at them and the supplied us with menus and other goodies for the kids.
All in all, we would stay at the Marriott Courtyard Key Largo again. We love the Marriott chain and always tend to choose it when traveling in the US if available.
